AEVEX wins $92.2 million contract

AEVEX (NYSE:AVEX) was selected for a contract valued at up to $92.2 million over three years to support the Department of War’s Test Resource Management Center SkyRange program.

The contract supports SkyRange’s effort to modernize hypersonic flight test infrastructure by using high-altitude airborne platforms to collect, relay, and distribute real-time telemetry data.

Under the agreement, AEVEX will provide airborne range integration, engineering services, flight operations support, telemetry relay, communications architecture support, payload integration, and mission data services across Western U.S. and Pacific test corridors.

AEVEX said the SkyRange support work will help expand distributed test infrastructure and support higher-frequency hypersonic testing, while the program uses modified unmanned aircraft platforms, including former RQ-4 Global Hawks.

AEVEX provides airborne mission systems, intelligence solutions, and operational test support services for government and defense customers.

The SkyRange program was created to use airborne platforms equipped with specialized sensors and instrumentation to support hypersonic vehicle tracking and flight testing.
