  • AbbVie's investigational ABBV-466 achieved a 40.5% endoscopic remission rate at Week 24 in its Phase 2a Crohn's disease study.
  • Remission rates reached 22.4% with risankizumab and 20% with trosunilimab, compared with 40.5% for the combined treatment.
  • AbbVie is investigating whether combining two treatments targeting different inflammatory pathways can improve Crohn's disease outcomes, with findings scheduled for presentation at UEG Week 2026.

AbbVie (NYSE:ABBV) reported a 40.5% endoscopic remission rate at Week 24 for investigational ABBV-466 in its 300-patient Phase 2a TARGET-CD Crohn's disease trial.

The combination exceeded risankizumab's 22.4% and trosunilimab's 20% remission rates, following respective Week 12 results of 30.2%, 21.3% and 18.0%.

“Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis are chronic, lifelong conditions, and understanding how patients respond to treatment over time and in everyday clinical practice is critical,” said AbbVie Therapeutic Area Head of Immunology International Medical Affairs Sofie Berg.

Serious adverse events affected 10.4% of ABBV-466 patients, compared with 9.6% on risankizumab and 9% on trosunilimab, while gene analyses indicated intestinal tissue repair.

AbbVie scheduled the findings for presentation at UEG Week 2026, running October 17–20 in Barcelona.

The ongoing TARGET-CD study evaluates ABBV-466, combining risankizumab and trosunilimab to target inflammatory signalling and immune-cell movement into the gut.

AbbVie's immunology portfolio includes SKYRIZI and RINVOQ, with recent October 2026 announcements covering additional Crohn's disease trial results and long-term inflammatory bowel disease outcomes.SEO metadata
