AbbVie (NYSE:ABBV) reported second-quarter 2026 revenue of $16.99 billion, up 10% year over year, with adjusted earnings per share of $3.65, exceeding analyst expectations of $3.60.
The company lowered its full-year 2026 adjusted EPS guidance to $13.87–$14.07 from $13.91–$14.11, reflecting the expected $0.14 per share impact from its planned acquisition of Apogee Therapeutics.
Immunology products continued to drive growth, with Skyrizi revenue increasing 24.4% to $5.51 billion and Rinvoq revenue rising 24.5% to $2.53 billion.
AbbVie’s immunology portfolio generated $8.79 billion in quarterly revenue, up 15% year over year.
AbbVie’s neuroscience segment also performed strongly, with revenue increasing 20% to $3.23 billion, while Humira global sales declined 36% to $756 million due to biosimilar competition.
The company agreed to acquire Apogee Therapeutics for approximately $10.9 billion, with the deal centered on zumilokibart, a next-generation treatment candidate for moderate-to-severe atopic dermatitis and asthma.
The Apogee acquisition represents AbbVie’s largest acquisition in more than five years as the company continues using strategic deals to strengthen its pipeline and offset the impact of Humira’s declining market exclusivity.
