The Open Network Foundation has partnered with SCRYPT to provide institutional access to USDT on the TON blockchain, targeting banks, fintechs and corporate treasury users.

The collaboration enables execution, settlement and fiat conversion through a regulated Swiss platform, supporting near-instant cross-border stablecoin payments.

“We’ve put payments innovation at the centre of our strategy for growth this year,”

Said TON Foundation VP of Payments Nikola Plecas.

“This partnership enables that next phase, bringing more and more institutions into the TON ecosystem.”

TON said the move strengthens its position as a scalable settlement layer, leveraging its integration with Telegram’s more than one billion users and over 50 million wallets on the network.

SCRYPT will deliver infrastructure including custody, liquidity and compliant on- and off-ramps, allowing institutions to move and settle USDT flows at scale.

“Stablecoin rails are becoming the settlement layer for global payments,”

Said SCRYPT managing director, Gabriel Titopoulos, highlighting growing demand from financial institutions.

The partnership reflects broader industry momentum towards stablecoins as core financial infrastructure, with TON aiming to expand its role in global payments and digital commerce.
