Kenya has placed more than 30 million academic records on Avalanche (CRYPTO:AVAX) through a new national verification system.

The Kenya National Examinations Council launched the platform to address thousands of forged academic certificates reported each year.

“KNEC is bringing tamper-proof e-certification to Kenya on Avalanche,” said Avalanche.

Employers, universities and other institutions can use the system to verify academic credentials directly onchain.

The rollout is one of Avalanche's larger public-sector deployments and extends its blockchain beyond finance into government record verification.

AVAX was down 1.1% on Monday and remained roughly 69% below its level one year earlier, according to CoinMarketCap data cited by Cointelegraph.
