  • Former Aptos advisor BuzzlamicJihad has left the blockchain project after his one-year advisory contract ended.
  • Buzz says he has sold his Aptos (APT) tokens and shifted his meme-driven campaign towards Meta Platforms (NASDAQ:META).
  • Aptos’ market capitalisation stood at US$607 million after APT fell 10.7% during the month, according to Decrypt’s data.

Former Aptos advisor BuzzlamicJihad has left the project and redirected his meme campaign towards Meta Platforms (NASDAQ:META), according to a report by Decrypt.

Buzz’s one-year advisory contract ended in October 2026, and he said both sides chose not to renew it.

“I didn’t see it going anywhere else, and some of the plans I had didn’t work out as intended,” said former Aptos advisor BuzzlamicJihad in comments to Decrypt.

Buzz said he sold his Aptos (APT) tokens after the project’s market capitalisation fell to US$607 million, with APT down 10.7% since the start of October.

“I don’t think META is failing obviously and needs a hostile takeover, but retail is kind of forgotten, especially with the recent Class C share creation with no voting ability,” Buzz said.

Buzz previously gained attention in the Aptos community through social media memes and campaigns that helped draw investor interest to the token in early 2025.

Meta’s market capitalisation stood at approximately US$1.59 trillion when Buzz began his campaign, making the company roughly 2,619 times larger than Aptos by market value.

The shift places Buzz’s online campaign against a much larger company, although its effect on Meta shares remains uncertain.
