  • Marketnode acted as authorised distributor, extending the securities firm's distribution of structured products onto a public blockchain.

Mirae Asset Securities (HK) Limited has issued tokenised funding notes on Solana (SOL), extending its structured products distribution to public blockchain infrastructure.

The six-month notes are denominated in US dollars and were issued in Hong Kong under Mirae Asset Securities' US$3 billion Guaranteed Structured Note Programme.

“Extending our structured note capabilities into digitally native channels is a natural progression of our strategic focus on digital assets,” said Kelly Sohn, Head of Digital Assets at Mirae Asset Securities.

The transaction allows eligible institutional investors to hold the notes in tokenised form, with Mirae managing issuance, payments and lifecycle operations.

“Public blockchain infrastructure becomes meaningful to capital markets when it can support the products and workflows institutions already use,” said Lu Yin, Head of APAC at the Solana Foundation.

Singapore-regulated Marketnode acted as authorised distributor, while the Solana Foundation supported the transaction connecting traditional structured products with blockchain-based distribution.

The notes were offered through private placement to eligible professional investors under Hong Kong's Securities and Futures Ordinance and were not authorised or registered with the Securities and Futures Commission.

The issuance demonstrates how financial institutions can distribute structured products through public blockchains, while access remains restricted to eligible professional investors.
