Blackrock and Circle drive $15.2B treasury surge
Tokenised US Treasuries reached a market value of $15.20 billion at the start of May after adding $1.06 billion over 30 days, signalling continued growth in onchain demand.
Data from rwa.xyz shows 71 assets now deliver an average annual percentage yield of 3.36%, with 58,658 unique addresses holding tokenised Treasury products.
Circle’s USYC leads the sector with $2.91 billion in value, followed by Blackrock’s BUIDL fund at $2.58 billion, highlighting rising institutional participation.
The top five funds, including offerings from Ondo, Franklin Templeton, and Janus Henderson, collectively account for about $10.92 billion of the total market.
Assets ranked six to ten, such as Wisdomtree’s WTGXX and Superstate’s USTB, contribute more than $3 billion, pushing the top ten combined valuation above $13.9 billion.
The remaining $4.28 billion is spread across 66 smaller tokenised Treasury products, reflecting increasing diversification despite capital concentration among leading issuers.
Market trends suggest continued expansion across multiple blockchains, with growing institutional and retail interest in yield-generating, dollar-linked digital assets.
