Bitcoin long-term holders hit 15M BTC

Bitcoin long-term holder supply has climbed to roughly 15.26 million BTC, reaching its highest level since August 2025 as investors increased accumulation over the past month.

CryptoQuant analyst Darkfost said long-term holders added approximately 316,000 BTC during the past 30 days, reversing a sharp distribution phase in November when these wallets sold roughly 650,000 BTC over the same period.

“The supply held by Long Term Holders continues to increase as investors keep holding their BTC,”

Darkfost wrote, adding that:

“The cohort is generally considered much more stable than short-term holders.”

The accumulation trend may strengthen further on May 23 when roughly 800,000 BTC previously transferred from Coinbase cross the six-month holding threshold and formally enter the long-term holder category.

Meanwhile, analysts at Coin Bureau said narrowing exchange inflow and outflow gaps, declining exchange reserves and whale accumulation patterns have historically aligned with major Bitcoin market bottoms since 2019.

“Stable flows, falling exchange reserves, and whale accumulation are classic ‘dry powder’ signals seen around every major Bitcoin bottom since 2019,”

Coin Bureau analysts wrote.

The on-chain signals arrive ahead of the Federal Reserve’s release of minutes from the April 28-29 policy meeting, which marked the final meeting chaired by Jerome Powell before successor Kevin Warsh formally assumed leadership of the central bank.

At the time of reporting, Bitcoin price was $77,155.90.
