Binance is investigating a potential security breach after suspicious wallet transfers raised concerns about billions in cryptocurrency movements.
Blockchain researchers traced transfers from Binance-linked wallets to newly created addresses across several networks, including Ethereum.
“Our teams are aware of reports of a potential security issue and are actively investigating,” Binance said in its official statement.
Tether and Circle subsequently froze more than $2.36 billion in stablecoins linked to the suspected incident.
“Users should remain cautious of scams and should not trust unofficial links, messages, or requests for account information,” Binance said.
