Bitget has resumed Bitcoin (BTC) withdrawals after a security breach affecting nearly $388 million.

The September 24 breach affected parts of Bitget’s hot and warm wallet infrastructure.

“We restored BTC first because the withdrawal pipeline is the first to be completed,” according to Bitget CEO Gracy Chen.

Bitget revised the affected amount to $387.5 million after identifying additional Zcash and Tron transfers.

Ether (ETH) withdrawals are scheduled for September 29 across five supported networks.

Lookonchain reported the attacker was swapping Ether for Bitcoin through THORChain.

Bitget said user balances remain unaffected and its Protection Fund covers the incident’s financial impact.

Following the update, BTC was trading at $82,981.88.
