Sony Group Corporation (TSE:6758) has launched a global incubation programme to help startups and creators commercialise blockchain-based entertainment projects.
The Sony Onchain Entertainment Incubation Program opens on 29 October 2026 and focuses on projects using Soneium, Sony’s blockchain network.
Sony aims to connect creators and fans through digital content, community participation and new ways to generate revenue using onchain technology.
Selected projects will receive access to Soneium’s infrastructure, opportunities to collaborate with Sony companies, marketing support and potential fundraising opportunities.
Eligible applicants must develop entertainment-related products or services that have launched or plan to launch on Soneium, with evaluations considering originality, intellectual property, community building and business scalability.
Applications are scheduled to run from 29 October through December 2026, followed by screening and selection from November 2026 to March 2027.
The programme builds on Sony’s earlier blockchain incubation initiatives, which have supported 43 projects from around the world since 2024.
Sony is expanding its focus on blockchain-based entertainment as it explores ways for creators and fans to participate in digital content communities and share in the value they generate.
