  • Perpetual Resources added 62 new mining claims to expand its Nevada tungsten footprint by 1,272 acres.
  • The expansion increases the exploration footprint to over 15 times the size of the original claim area.
  • Perpetual aims to evaluate the expanded area as both a high-grade tungsten target and a district-scale opportunity.

Perpetual Resources (ASX:PEC) completed a low-cost expansion of 62 new lode mining claims surrounding the historic Nevada Scheelite Tungsten Mine, increasing its footprint by 1,272 acres.

The new land package expands the exploration area to more than 15 times its original patented claim size to capture prospective geological extensions.

Executive Chairman, Julian Babarczy, commented, “The addition of these 62 claims significantly changes the potential scale of Nevada Scheelite.”

Historical production at the property totalled roughly 328,747 short tonne units of tungsten trioxide at an average grade of 1.1% between 1937 and 1957.

The company reported that initial outputs from its 3D geological modelling are scheduled for release in the coming weeks, ahead of planned maiden drilling in late 2026.

Following the announcement the Perpetual Resources share price was unchanged at $0.012.

The expanded claims give Perpetual the chance to evaluate the site as a broader district-scale exploration target.

The company stated that the larger US footprint is expected to boost its relevance in talks with prospective government, funding, and off-take partners.
