  • Dimerix announced that the first 100 patients completed the two-year double-blind treatment phase in its global ACTION3 trial.
  • The Dimerix share price fell 4.3% to $0.21 following the market announcement.
  • Completing treatment for 100 patients helps reduce trial execution risk for the company's leading kidney treatment candidate.

Dimerix (ASX:DXB) reached a clinical milestone after the first 100 patients finished two years of double-blind treatment in its global ACTION3 Phase 3 trial.

This progress provides clinical data continuity after the study previously passed a formal analysis for futility.

"The completion of the first 100 patients represents another important milestone for the ACTION3 Phase 3 programme," said Dimerix CEO and Managing Director Dr Nina Webster.

The trial tests DMX-200 for patients living with focal segmental glomerulosclerosis, a rare kidney disease.

Management indicated that completing this two-year phase reduces execution risk across its global programme.

Following the announcement, the Dimerix share price was down at $0.21.

The company previously secured licensing partnerships across international markets, including an agreement with Everest Medicines for select Asian territories.

Dimerix continues to focus on developing therapies for inflammatory diseases with high unmet medical needs.
