Molecular Partners advances cancer pipeline with CHF 67.9 million cash

Molecular Partners (NASDAQ:MOLN) reported first-half 2026 results and clinical progress across its oncology pipeline, including MP0712, a DLL3-targeting Radio-DARPin program for small cell lung cancer that advanced into the next trial cohort.

The company said the U.S. Phase 1/2a study of MP0712 completed recruitment for cohort 1 at 75 MBq without dose-limiting toxicities, while first-half 2026 financial results improved compared with the same period in 2025.

Molecular Partners reported no revenue for H1 2026, with operating expenses of CHF 27 million and a net loss of CHF 26.7 million, while cash and cash equivalents stood at CHF 67.9 million and the company maintained 2026 operating expense guidance of CHF 45 million to CHF 55 million.

The company advanced additional oncology programs, including the selection of CD70 as a third radio-oncology target for clear cell renal cell carcinoma and other tumors, while stating that IND-enabling work will begin in H2 2026 and clinical entry is planned for 2027.

Molecular Partners continues developing radio-oncology and immune cell engager programs, including MP0317 in a randomized Phase 2 cholangiocarcinoma study and MP0533 following completion of dose escalation recruitment in acute myeloid leukemia.

The company stated that its current cash position is expected to fund operations into late 2027 as it continues advancing its cancer treatment pipeline and clinical development programs.
