Molecular Partners reports progress in TACTIC trial

Share
  • Molecular Partners is advancing the Phase 2 TACTIC trial, an investigator-initiated study evaluating MP0317 in patients with advanced biliary tract carcinoma.
  • The clinical study is designed to enroll 75 patients to compare the efficacy of MP0317 plus standard-of-care against standard-of-care alone.
  • The company expects to present a trial-in-progress poster at the ESMO Congress 2026, with full study completion targeted for 2028.

Molecular Partners (NASDAQ:MOLN) reported that nine expert sites are now active in its randomized Phase 2 TACTIC clinical trial for MP0317.

The investigator-initiated study evaluates the FAP-localized CD40 agonist in combination with durvalumab and chemotherapy for first-line biliary tract carcinoma.

The trial protocol utilizes a 2:1 randomization to compare 50 experimental patients receiving MP0317 against 25 control patients receiving standard-of-care.

The company previously published results from a 46-patient Phase 1 study in Nature Cancer in 2026, which demonstrated successful tumor-localized CD40 activation.

Management stated that a formal data update for the TACTIC trial is expected in 2027 as patient treatment continues.

Molecular Partners aims to finalize the clinical study by 2028, pending the successful recruitment of the total patient cohort.
