Gilat wins $14 million Peru broadband agreement

Gilat Satellite Networks (NASDAQ:GILT), through Gilat Perú, signed a $14 million agreement with Ayacucho’s regional government for a fiber-optic broadband project.

The 18-month project will deploy more than 1,060 kilometers of optical fiber across southern Ayacucho under Peru’s Works for Taxes program.

The network will connect 236 schools and 37 healthcare facilities, reaching approximately 20,000 residents across 109 localities with equipment, network systems and training.

Gilat expects delivery within 18 months as it expands digital-inclusion projects in Peru.

Following the announcement the Gilat share price was up 0.1% at $11.51 in pre-market trading.

Gilat reported Q2 2026 revenue of $122.7 million, up 17%, while Adjusted EBITDA increased 31% to $15.4 million.

The company also demonstrated AI-based satellite interference technology in August after securing about $60 million of Peruvian broadband orders in July 2025.
