  • Gilat Satellite Networks (NASDAQ:GILT) received $43 million in additional orders for its Sidewinder in-flight connectivity terminals.
  • The orders come from a major in-flight connectivity provider and will be delivered over 18 months.
  • The terminals will support both line-fit and retrofit aircraft installations.

Gilat Satellite Networks (NASDAQ:GILT) said it secured $43 million in new orders for its Sidewinder electronically steered antenna (ESA) terminals from a major in-flight connectivity service provider.

The company said deliveries will take place over the next 18 months and will include both line-fit and retrofit configurations for aircraft.

The Sidewinder ESA terminals are designed to support in-flight connectivity systems used in mobility and multi-orbit satellite architectures.

The company said the orders reflect continued demand for airborne connectivity solutions as airlines expand broadband services across fleets.

Gilat continues to focus on aerospace and satellite communications markets, including mobility applications such as aviation connectivity.

The company said the Sidewinder platform is positioned for growth as satellite networks shift toward multi-orbit connectivity systems.
