Bruker wins $6 million UC Berkeley NMR order

Bruker (NASDAQ:BRKR) announced a multi-system order from the University of California, Berkeley for high-field Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) instrumentation valued at more than $6 million.

The investment will expand access to next-generation NMR technologies at the Pines Magnetic Resonance Center, including 800 MHz-class instrumentation for research across chemistry, materials science and structural biology.

The order includes a Bruker AV NEO-X 800 MHz spectrometer equipped with a cryogenically cooled MAS CryoProbe, along with additional NMR systems and upgrades supporting solid-state, solution-state and Dynamic Nuclear Polarization research.

The Pines Magnetic Resonance Center provides shared NMR resources for researchers from UC Berkeley, Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, academia and industry, including 24/7 access to analytical capabilities.

Bruker expects delivery of the NMR systems in 2027, with the equipment intended to support research into molecular structures, dynamics and functions.
