  • Bruker acquired the DISQVER platform, which searches blood-derived sequencing data for more than 11,000 microbes and parasites.
  • Bruker shares were up 1.5% at $59.83 following the announcement.
  • The acquisition expands Bruker’s infection-detection portfolio across metagenomic sequencing, molecular diagnostics and sepsis research.

Bruker (NASDAQ:BRKR) acquired DISQVER, an mNGS platform that can analyze blood-derived cell-free DNA for more than 11,000 microbes within 24 hours.

Unlike culture-based testing, DISQVER applies proprietary bioinformatics to whole-genome sequencing data without requiring prior cultivation of suspected pathogens.

Financial terms were not disclosed, while Bruker said DISQVER remains research-use-only, is progressing toward diagnostic registration and will not materially affect FY26 results.

Following the announcement, Bruker's share price was up 1.5% at $59.83.

Bruker previously forecast FY26 revenue of $3.57–$3.60 billion, including an expected M&A contribution of approximately 1.5%.

The company has recently expanded into automated WGS analysis, rapid antimicrobial susceptibility testing, hospital infection control and integrated microbial identification workflows.
