Samsung Wallet adds USDC transfers for Galaxy users
- Samsung plans to add USDC transfers to Samsung Wallet for eligible Galaxy users in the United States.
- The rollout is scheduled for the last week of October 2026.
- The service aims to connect stablecoin payments with everyday mobile wallets and compatible financial accounts.
Samsung Electronics America will integrate USD Coin (USDC), a dollar-pegged stablecoin, into Samsung Wallet for eligible US Galaxy users.
The rollout covers 82 million compatible Galaxy devices, allowing users to send USDC internationally without installing a separate crypto wallet.
“Sending money abroad should feel as convenient as using the wallet already on your phone,” according to Woncheol Chai, EVP and Head of the Digital Wallet Team at Samsung Electronics.
Users will be able to transfer USDC to compatible crypto wallets in seconds, with Samsung charging no transfer fee for those transactions.
Eligible users can also send money to qualifying bank accounts in more than 60 countries, where recipients may receive funds in local currency.
Bastion will provide stablecoin infrastructure, while Coinbase will act as sub-custodian and safeguard USDC through Coinbase Prime Vault.
Samsung Wallet will require identity verification and biometric authentication, with access limited to eligible US residents aged 18 or older using compatible devices.
The launch extends Samsung’s collaboration with Coinbase and establishes USDC transfers as the first stablecoin feature in Samsung Wallet.
