Samsung SDS and Dunamu have agreed to develop stablecoin infrastructure as South Korea prepares a regulatory framework for digital assets.
The partnership comes as South Korean authorities consider new rules that could allow wider use of regulated stablecoins.
Samsung SDS will contribute its blockchain and digital infrastructure expertise, while Dunamu will provide experience from operating the Upbit cryptocurrency exchange.
The companies said the project is intended to support future stablecoin services as regulations become clearer.
Samsung SDS has expanded its blockchain business by developing enterprise digital platforms for businesses and public sector organisations.
Dunamu has continued investing in blockchain technology while preparing for changes to South Korea's digital asset regulations.
