Ripple says bank pilots are going live

Ripple (CRYPTO:XRP) president Monica Long said banks are moving blockchain projects from pilot programmes into live production.

Long said financial institutions have spent years testing blockchain technology before deploying services for customers and internal operations.

Banks are deploying blockchain across payments, custody, tokenisation and stablecoins as regulatory frameworks become clearer, according to Long.

Long said the next phase will involve connecting blockchain infrastructure with existing banking systems rather than replacing them entirely.

Ripple has expanded its institutional services across payments, digital asset custody and stablecoins as banks increase their blockchain activity.

The company also issues Ripple USD (CRYPTO:RLUSD), a dollar-backed stablecoin designed for payments and institutional financial applications.
