Ripple expands AI controls across treasury tools
- Ripple Treasury has expanded GSmart with governed AI tools for forecasting, liquidity, risk, reconciliation and reporting.
- Risk Insights has reached 60% adoption among eligible customers, while Forecast Insights has reached 44%.
- Human approval remains mandatory before GSmart can execute financial transactions.
Ripple has expanded its GSmart treasury platform with policy-controlled AI agents covering financial forecasting, liquidity, risk, reconciliation and reporting.
The system has separated financial calculations from AI-generated explanations and recommendations, with deterministic engines handling calculations while AI interprets treasury data.
“Every CFO is under pressure to embrace AI, but they're equally responsible for ensuring every financial decision is explainable, governed and compliant,” said Renaat Ver Eecke, SVP of Ripple Treasury.
GSmart has required an authorised employee to approve financial actions, preventing its AI agents from independently executing payments or other transactions.
Ripple has designed GSmart to automate treasury analysis while keeping financial transactions subject to human approval.
Forecast Insights has reached 44% adoption among eligible customers, comparing expected cash flows with actual results to identify potential liquidity issues.
Ripple acquired the underlying GTreasury business in 2025, with the platform having processed more than US$13 trillion in transaction value during 2025 across more than 1,000 customers.
