Ripple has partnered with SettleMint to provide Asian financial institutions with digital asset custody and tokenised asset services.
The partnership combines Ripple Custody with SettleMint’s Digital Asset Lifecycle Platform for custody, issuance and asset management.
Coincheck Group also partnered with DFNS to develop digital asset wallet and custody services for institutions in Japan.
DFNS provides wallet infrastructure covering transaction workflows, governance controls and more than 100 blockchain networks.
Both deals aim to address infrastructure gaps that can limit regulated financial institutions entering digital assets, according to Cointelegraph.
Asia-Pacific recorded a 69% year-on-year increase in onchain value received, according to Chainalysis’ 2025 global adoption index.
Japan is also developing its crypto framework, with July revisions classifying crypto assets as financial assets under the Financial Instruments and Exchange Act.
