Ripple executive Monica Long to speak at XRP Seoul

Ripple president Monica Long will headline XRP Seoul on October 3 during Korea Blockchain Week, where the event will bring together XRP (CRYPTO:XRP) holders, XRP Ledger developers, ecosystem projects and blockchain businesses.

The organisers said they were "honored to welcome" Long, who has worked at Ripple since 2013 and oversees business, product and engineering teams as the company expands its blockchain payments, custody and tokenisation services.

XRP Seoul is expected to attract more than 3,000 attendees and over 100 companies, with sessions focused on XRP Ledger development, institutional adoption and real-world blockchain finance applications.

South Korea remains one of the largest retail markets for XRP, with trading activity on local exchanges frequently placing the cryptocurrency among the country's highest-volume digital assets during periods of elevated market activity.

Ripple has also expanded its presence in South Korea through projects including a Ripple Custody pilot with Kyobo Life Insurance to support near real-time settlement of tokenised Korean government bonds while exploring payment infrastructure using RLUSD.

Local developer initiatives, including the XRPL Korea Financial Innovation Program 2026, are also supporting blockchain finance projects built on the XRP Ledger and strengthening Ripple's presence within the country's developer community.

Monica Long's appearance is expected to provide an opportunity for Ripple to discuss how XRP, RLUSD, custody services and tokenised assets fit within the company's broader strategy as it continues expanding institutional blockchain infrastructure.
