
Keyrock has acquired the trading technology, client relationships and selected assets of BlockFills to expand its institutional cryptocurrency business.
The acquisition follows continued growth in institutional demand for digital asset trading and liquidity services.
“This acquisition strengthens our ability to serve institutional clients globally,” said Keyrock chief executive Kevin de Patoul.
Keyrock said the deal includes BlockFills' over-the-counter trading business, technology and customer relationships, while financial terms were not disclosed.
The company said the acquisition is expected to broaden its trading capabilities and expand its institutional client base.
Keyrock provides digital asset market-making, liquidity and trading services to exchanges, token issuers and institutional investors worldwide.
The acquisition reflects ongoing consolidation in the cryptocurrency industry as firms expand their institutional trading businesses.
