CZ says Bitcoin's fixed supply beats AI hype

  • Binance founder Changpeng Zhao says Bitcoin's (CRYPTO:BTC) fixed supply gives it lasting value.
  • He argued artificial intelligence cannot replicate Bitcoin's scarcity.
  • The comments come as AI continues to attract strong investor interest.

Binance founder Changpeng Zhao, widely known as CZ, said Bitcoin (CRYPTO:BTC) retains a key advantage over artificial intelligence because its supply is permanently capped.

CZ argued that while AI is advancing rapidly, it cannot recreate Bitcoin's hard cap of 21 million coins, which underpins the cryptocurrency's scarcity.

"AI cannot create more Bitcoin," Zhao said.

His comments come as investors increasingly compare AI-related technologies with digital assets as both sectors compete for capital and public attention.

Bitcoin's limited supply is written into its code, making it different from traditional currencies that can be issued in larger quantities by central banks.

Supporters of Bitcoin have long argued that this scarcity helps preserve its value over time, particularly during periods of monetary expansion.

CZ's remarks highlight the ongoing debate over whether technological innovation or digital scarcity will play the bigger role in shaping future investment trends.

At the time of reporting, Bitcoin price was $65,467.70.
