Bybit Payments secured an Austrian e-money licence, allowing it to develop regulated payment services for European users.
The services will operate through Bybit.eu alongside Bybit EU, which has held a MiCA licence since May 2025.
The licence could support person-to-person payments, merchant services, open banking and card products, according to Bybit.
Bybit said the approval could strengthen banking relationships and reduce its reliance on third-party payment infrastructure.
Bybit EU and Bybit Payments will remain separate entities with different regulatory permissions and responsibilities.
Bybit EU can provide crypto custody, exchange, placement and transfer services across eligible European Economic Area markets.
Bybit introduced tokenised bond fund products through its RWA Earn platform, giving eligible users access to fixed-income investments managed by PIMCO and China Merchants Bank International.
Bybit, operated by Bybit Fintech Limited, has been added to the Monetary Authority of Singapore's Investor Alert List, a registry that warns consumers about entities that may be mistakenly viewed as licensed or regulated.
