Bitmine nears 5% Ether supply with $310M yield

Bitmine Immersion Technologies has purchased 71,524 Ether over the past week, lifting its total holdings to about 4.87 million ETH, equivalent to roughly 4.04% of global supply.

The accumulation marks the company’s fastest weekly buying pace since December 2025 and brings it closer to its stated goal of acquiring up to 5% of total Ether in circulation.

Chairman Tom Lee said Ether’s recent outperformance has been driven by rising tokenisation activity on Wall Street and increased use of public blockchains in AI systems.

The company holds 198 Bitcoin and approximately $719 million in cash alongside its Ether position, reinforcing its balance sheet as it expands its crypto treasury strategy.

A significant portion of Bitmine’s Ether is deployed through its MAVAN staking platform, with around 3.33 million ETH staked and generating an estimated $310 million in annual rewards based on current yields.

Bitmine is currently the largest Ethereum treasury company, well ahead of peers such as SharpLink and The Ether Machine, which hold significantly smaller ETH reserves.

The company’s aggressive accumulation comes as other treasury firms either slow purchases or reduce exposure, highlighting a divergence in strategy across the sector.

At the time of reporting, Ethereum price was $2,371.50.
