Binance shifts NFT support to self-custody wallet
Binance will discontinue support for non-fungible tokens on its exchange and transition NFT management to its self-custodial Binance Wallet as the company streamlines its Web3 product offering.
The cryptocurrency exchange said NFT holders will have until July 3 to withdraw transferable NFTs from Binance Exchange before access to those assets is removed from the platform.
“The migration is intended to provide NFT holders with easier access to Web3 and decentralised features,”
According to Binance.
Binance will offer fee reimbursement programmes for eligible users withdrawing NFTs, including separate promotions covering general NFT withdrawals and CR7 NFT collections.
The exchange said up to 100,000 eligible users will receive 1 USDC for qualifying NFT withdrawals, with rewards credited to Binance spot accounts by July 3.
The decision highlights the continued contraction of the NFT sector, with several major crypto platforms reducing or ending NFT-related services amid falling trading activity and weaker demand.
Binance follows other industry participants including Kraken, which shut down its NFT marketplace in February 2025, while NFT marketplace OpenSea ended support for BNB Smart Chain-native NFTs in August 2023.
The broader NFT market remains well below its 2022 peak, with CryptoPunks trading around 30.9 ETH, down 61% from its record high, while Bored Ape Yacht Club's floor price has fallen 93% from its peak to approximately 7.9 ETH.
