Binance (private) has expanded its partnership with anti-trafficking charity Stop The Traffik to strengthen efforts to identify and disrupt human trafficking networks that use cryptocurrency.

The expanded collaboration builds on an existing relationship as criminal groups increasingly use digital assets alongside traditional payment methods.

“Human trafficking is a global crime that requires global collaboration, and partnerships like this help strengthen our ability to identify and disrupt criminal networks,” said Stop The Traffik Chief Executive Officer Ruth Dearnley.

Binance said the partnership combines blockchain intelligence, financial crime investigations and data sharing to help law enforcement identify suspicious transactions linked to human trafficking.

Stop The Traffik works with governments, financial institutions and technology companies to detect trafficking patterns through data analysis and intelligence sharing.

Binance has expanded its compliance and investigative capabilities in recent years through partnerships aimed at combating financial crime across the digital asset industry.
