US Jobless Claims Fall, Housing Starts Drop in April

US initial jobless claims for the week ending May 16 fell by 3,000 to 209,000. US housing starts declined in April as construction of single-family homes dropped by the most in nearly a year. Bloomberg's Michael McKee has this morning's economic data.
