TPG Telecom (ASX:TPG) brand Vodafone suffered a network outage on the morning of June 18, affecting some of its 5.7 million customers.
The technical disruption occurred during peak morning hours when telecommunications networks typically experience high daily traffic volumes.
A company spokesperson confirmed that technicians were investigating intermittent issues and working to resolve the fault quickly.
Attempts to view the online 5G and 4G network status tracker returned an error message during the service disruption.
Following the announcement, the TPG Telecom share price was up at $3.71.
The network provides mobile services to direct Vodafone subscribers as well as secondary brands like iiNet, Kogan, and Lebara.
This infrastructure incident follows a period of long-term operational integration following the company's major corporate merger in July 2020.
