Sparc Technologies (ASX:SPN) executed a memorandum of understanding with Levidian Nanosystems to commercialise graphene-enhanced protective coatings across the Middle East.

The agreement follows completed testing where Levidian supplied graphene for integration into Sparc's proprietary ecosparc coatings platform.

"Levidian is a clear leader in the production of high-quality graphene materials and has strong relationships in the GCC region," said Sparc Technologies Managing Director Nick O'Loughlin.

The two businesses will target regional end users, including national oil operators and large infrastructure owners across the GCC region.

Following the announcement, the Sparc Technologies share price was unchanged at $0.17.

The companies stated they aim to establish a binding joint development or commercial supply agreement within 12 months.

The partnership will also investigate potential manufacturing of ecosparc additives in the United Arab Emirates within 24 months.
