Neurizon executes supply agreement with Elanco for NUZ-001

·       Neurizon Therapeutics signed a five-year deal with Elanco Animal Health to secure long-term access to monepantel.

Neurizon Therapeutics (ASX:NUZ) executed an agreement with Elanco Animal Health (NYSE:ELAN) to secure a five-year supply of human-health monepantel, the active pharmaceutical ingredient in its lead asset, NUZ-001.

The agreement builds on a previous global licence agreement executed between the two businesses on July 2.

The company stated that initial orders under the contract are intended to support commercialisation efforts and the creation of an inventory holding.

Under the material terms of the five-year contract, Neurizon will exclusively acquire monepantel from Elanco, though the business retains the right to manufacture or source the ingredient from third parties under specifically identified circumstances.

The agreement is designed to support the regulatory and chemistry, manufacturing, and controls infrastructure for NUZ-001 as it progresses through the Phase 2/3 HEALEY ALS platform trial.

Neurizon stated that the agreement strengthens its position as a capital-efficient neurodegenerative disease company, though final commercialisation remains subject to successful clinical development and regulatory approval.
