Share

Australia's Lynas Rare Earths (ASX:LYC) announced that COO Pol Le Roux will take over as interim CEO from June 30, marking a leadership transition at the world's largest producer of rare earths outside China.

Le Roux will succeed Amanda Lacaze, who is retiring from the helm after a 12-year tenure.

Having joined Lynas in late 2010, Le Roux brings deep operational continuity to the position, having previously overseen the company's critical extraction and processing assets across Australia and Malaysia.

A veteran of the chemical sector, his background includes senior roles at the French chemicals multinational Rhône-Poulenc, which has since been integrated into Belgium-based Solvay.

Lynas Chairman John Humphrey expressed strong confidence in the appointment, noting that Le Roux’s 20 years of sector experience and extensive operational knowledge are highly recognised by global customers, investors, and industry peers alike.
