Pioneer Credit (ASX:PNC) signed a three-year agreement with one of Australia's four major banks and completed an initial debt portfolio acquisition for $14.4 million.
The newly acquired portfolio includes roughly 17,000 customer accounts holding a total face value of approximately $206 million.
"This first acquisition under the agreement is a significant step in our relationship with the bank," said Pioneer Credit Managing Director Keith John.
Under terms agreed with the vendor, active servicing and cash collections will not commence until early February 2027.
The agreement does not guarantee any minimum volume or value for future acquisitions.
Following the announcement, the Pioneer Credit share price was up at $0.60.
The agreement makes Pioneer Credit the only debt purchaser with contracts across all four major Australian banks.
The company relies on these institutional relationships and compliance frameworks to secure ongoing portfolio acquisitions.
