KGL Resources approves final investment for Jervois Project
- KGL Resources board approves final investment decision for the Jervois Copper Project.
- First concentrate production targeted for the first half of the 2028 calendar year.
- Project fully funded via cash reserves, Wheaton proceeds, and equity raised.
KGL Resources (ASX:KGL) has approved the final investment decision for its Jervois Copper Project in the Northern Territory.
The approval confirms project delivery remains on schedule against baseline economic estimates established earlier in 2026.
“Completion of the $300 million equity raising means the Jervois Project is fully funded through construction,” said KGL Resources CEO Sam Strohmayr.
Project funding combines existing cash reserves, proceeds from Wheaton Precious Metals agreements, and recent equity raisings.
First concentrate production is slated for the first half of 2028.
Following the announcement, the KGL Resources share price was down at $0.15.
The company recently finalised execution packages for its engineering, procurement, and construction contract with Sedgman.
The Jervois site holds an estimated 29 million tonnes of resource at 1.8% copper alongside silver and gold credits.
