China Targets US Rare Earths Firms in Response to Pentagon

Gracelin Baskaran, director of the critical minerals security program at the Center for Strategic and International Studies, said that while the US has made 'unprecedented' moves to invest billions of dollars in rare earths infrastructure to compete with China, it is still a long term process as investment grows and technology gets more advanced.
