Bupa to acquire Partnered Health Group

• Bupa has agreed to acquire primary care network Partnered Health Group to expand its healthcare services across Australia.
• The acquisition will add 68 primary care clinics and three urgent care clinics to Bupa's domestic service network.
• The transaction remains subject to formal clearance from the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission and the Foreign Investment Review Board.

Global health insurer Bupa has executed an agreement to acquire Partnered Health Group to grow its integrated healthcare service footprint across Australia.

The transaction will expand Bupa's domestic healthcare infrastructure by adding a national network of general practices, skin cancer clinics, allied health facilities, and mental health clinics.

“Bringing Partnered Health’s services into the Bupa network is an exciting opportunity to grow a well-established primary care and corporate wellbeing network that is backed by a strong team dedicated to supporting the health of their local communities,” said Bupa APAC CEO Nick Stone.

The acquisition is set to encompass 68 primary care clinics and three urgent care clinics, alongside corporate health and wellbeing operations delivered through regional brands, including Jobfit and New View Psychology.

The buying group stated that the acquisition is a component of its strategy to improve patient care through prevention and more personalised pathways while preserving clinical independence.

Bupa currently operates 32 medical clinics and 13 Mindplace clinics alongside its established dental, optical, and hearing services across Australia.
