Baby Bunting (ASX:BBN) has reaffirmed its full-year pro forma net profit after tax guidance of $19–21 million after achieving a 2.2% bump in first-quarter comparable store sales.
The sales lift demonstrates steady operational momentum following the retailer’s record 41.2% gross margin performance in the prior financial year.
The company noted that trading growth was supported by strong demand across key regional markets.
The retailer expects near-term sales growth to moderate as it completes its first-half refurbishment programme across seven temporarily closed stores.
Following the announcement, the Baby Bunting share price was unchanged at $1.08.
The speciality nursery retailer is continuing to modernise its retail estate by upgrading existing outlets into high-performing store formats.
These modernised retail designs have generated an average sales growth of 20% during their initial year of operation after reopening.
