- Baby Bunting Group (ASX:BBN) announced that Chief Financial Officer Darin Hoekman will leave the role after more than 12 years with the company.
- Hoekman will remain CFO until a successor is appointed, with the Board starting an external search and highlighting the group’s strong balance sheet and capital discipline.
- Baby Bunting (ASX:BBN) said the transition comes as its multi‑year growth strategy is progressing and it continues to execute on property and store network plans.
Baby Bunting Group (ASX:BBN) said Chief Financial Officer Darin Hoekman will step down after more than 12 years with the group, with the change framed as a planned transition as its multi‑year growth strategy advances.
The company stated that Hoekman will stay on as CFO until a replacement is appointed, and that the Board will engage an executive search firm to run the process and support an orderly handover.
“Darin has been central to Baby Bunting for more than a decade, helping grow it into the market leader in specialty baby and nursery goods across Australia and New Zealand,” said Baby Bunting CEO Mark Teperson.
Baby Bunting noted that Hoekman joined in January 2014, led the finance function through the October 2015 initial public offering and leaves the business with what it describes as a strong balance sheet, disciplined capital approach and an established property strategy and function.
Hoekman said it had been a privilege to serve as CFO for more than 12 years, that he was proud of helping build the group’s store network and finance function and of guiding the organisation through Covid‑related challenges, and that he sees the current growth strategy as the right point for a change.
He added that Baby Bunting has what he views as a clear strategy delivering strong results and a talented team, and that he is confident in the outlook and growth ahead as the group continues to execute its plans.
At the time of reporting Baby Bunting’s share price was AUD 1.14.
