Austral Resources hits key milestones at Rocklands Project
Austral Resources (ASXAR1) announced that the Rocklands refurbishment project is moving ahead on schedule and within budget.
The company has reached several critical milestones, including securing an unused 4.75MW SAG mill scheduled for site delivery by late July.
Technical assessments have confirmed that the existing ball milling, flotation, and concentrate handling infrastructure are fully capable of supporting the project's planned 3Mtpa processing capacity.
To drive the infrastructure developments, Austral has appointed GR Engineering Services to oversee the engineering design and construction of vital front-end modifications.
Front end engineering design, which commenced in April, remains safely on track for completion next month.
A metallurgical test work programme is progressing using confirmatory drill core samples directly extracted from Rocklands.
On the operational front, a mining campaign is actively underway at Flying Horse and Mt Clarke.
The campaign is currently providing oxide feed to Mt Kelly while systematically exposing future sulphide feed earmarked for Rocklands.
Austral Resources COO, Shane O'Connell, emphasised that this integrated strategy focuses on creating a simpler, lower-risk, and capital-efficient processing circuit.
At the time of reporting, Austral Resources’ share price was $0.088.
