  • Arrow Minerals submitted a new tenement application expanding its prospective land holding.
  • The new filing increases the company's total land area by 30% to 415km2.
  • The application expands exploration coverage near existing major iron ore deposits in Western Australia.

Arrow Minerals (ASX:AMD) applied for a key iron ore tenement that increases its prospective land holding by 30% to 415km2.

The application expands the footprint of the company's Yarraloola Project directly adjacent to Rio Tinto (ASX:RIO) operations in the Pilbara region.

The expanded footprint positions the exploration ground adjacent to established mining infrastructure and transportation corridors.

Arrow Managing Director David Flanagan said, “As proven by Rio, they often have very favourable deposit geometry and low impurities, meaning they can be low-cost high-profit operations.”

Arrow Minerals stated that the expansion allows for broader exploration targeting high-grade iron ore occurrences across the regional strike.

The company intends to initiate field surveys and target mapping across the new tenement area following official grant approval.

Following the announcement, the Arrow Minerals share price was up at $0.017.

The exploration entity previously acquired a 70% interest in the neighbouring Yarraloola iron ore project tenements.

Arrow Minerals continues to focus its exploration activities on economic iron, copper, and bauxite projects in Western Australia and West Africa.
