49 Metals expands Gold Mountain footprint in Nevada
Australian explorer 49 Metals (ASX:49M) strengthened its North American footprint, announcing the acquisition of eight additional patented mining claims at its flagship Gold Mountain Project in Nevada.
The expansion was secured for nil additional consideration and will be seamlessly integrated into the company’s existing Gold Mountain earn-in agreement with Americas Gold Exploration.
The newly acquired patented claims extend the project's land position to the west and effectively infill strategically vital ground surrounding the main Gold Mountain area.
The consolidation enhances tenure continuity while granting 49 Metals consolidated control over surface and mineral rights across critical sections of the project.
Because the claims hold patented status, the company expects greater operational flexibility, improved site access, and enhanced future development optionality, subject to standard federal, state, and environmental regulations.
The expansion optimises the company’s capacity to test extensions of known gold-silver mineralisation in a highly integrated and cost-efficient manner.
The new ground encompasses prospective historical exploration targets, including nine reported reverse circulation drill holes, two shallow rotary air blast holes, and historical rock chip samples with highly significant gold and silver assays that warrant immediate follow-up.
The El Rio Rey and Bally Hoo Bey claims sit adjacent to the high-priority Adit zone, where recent drilling intersected 33.5m at 1.1g/t gold from 182.9m, including a higher-grade zone of 1.5m at 4.8g/t gold.
