XPENG (NYSE:XPEV) completed the first production trial of its G9L SUV at Magna’s Graz, Austria facility, making it the fourth XPENG model to undergo production there.
The G9L joins the G6, G9 and P7+ at the Austrian facility, where local production began in the third quarter of 2025 as XPENG and Magna expanded their manufacturing partnership.
The first European pre-production G9L will travel 1,324 kilometers from Graz to Paris ahead of its planned global debut on October 12 at the Paris Motor Show.
XPENG said it plans to open orders for the G9L at the Paris event as part of its continued expansion across European and other overseas markets.
Overseas deliveries exceeded 20,000 vehicles in the second quarter of 2026, representing 81% year-over-year growth.
XPENG said overseas markets generated 25% of first-half revenue, with average selling prices above €40,000, while cumulative overseas deliveries have surpassed 100,000 vehicles.
More than 60,000 XPENG vehicles have been delivered in Europe, including over 6,000 in France since the company entered the French market about two years ago.
