TotalEnergies (NYSE:TTE) signed a five-year agreement with ADNOC Gas for the supply of up to 1.6 million tonnes of liquefied natural gas, expanding their existing commercial relationship.

The agreement builds on the companies' established partnership, with TotalEnergies already holding an interest in ADNOC Gas and participating in Abu Dhabi's Ruwais LNG development.

"Global demand for LNG continues to grow, and ADNOC Gas is well positioned to capture that opportunity," said ADNOC Gas Chief Executive Officer Fatema Al Nuaimi.

The five-year contract covers up to 1.6 million tonnes of LNG, with initial deliveries expected in 2026, although pricing and the agreement's total financial value were not disclosed.

TotalEnergies said the agreement supports its LNG portfolio supply strategy across Europe and Asia, while its post-announcement share-price movement was not independently verified.

ADNOC Gas is expanding its LNG marketing operations through a platform combining its activities with XRG and ADNOC Trading, targeting 47 million tonnes of marketable LNG annually beyond 2030.

TotalEnergies operates across oil, natural gas, LNG and electricity markets, while ADNOC Gas supplies domestic and international customers through its gas processing, production and trading activities.
