  • Telix Pharmaceuticals and Ekalia agreed to develop U.S. production of astatine-211, starting with an IBA alpha-beam cyclotron near Philadelphia.
  • Telix shares closed at US$10.69 on October 16, up 1.14%, ahead of the announcement, with no verified post-announcement U.S. stock reaction available.
  • Telix expects the agreement to secure long-term isotope access for its cancer treatment pipeline, including TLX102-Tx, while supporting external research programs.

Telix Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ:TLX) announced a collaboration with Ekalia to develop U.S. production of astatine-211, starting with one cyclotron installation near Philadelphia.

The agreement follows the October 16 formation of Ekalia by IBA and Framatome, expanding their European isotope production initiative into the U.S.

“Owning the path from isotope to patient is central to our development and commercialization strategy,” said Telix General Manager of Isotope Strategy Chad Watkins.

The first cyclotron will operate at Telix's RLS Trevose facility, providing priority isotope access for TLX102-Tx research into glioblastoma and leptomeningeal disease.

Telix expects the initial facility to establish a repeatable production model, with additional sites under consideration as demand develops.

Telix's existing U.S. radiopharmacy network supports its manufacturing and distribution operations, while its commercial diagnostic portfolio includes Illuccix, Gozellix and Pixclara.

The company's broader pipeline includes investigational treatments for prostate, brain and kidney cancers, alongside TLX102-Tx and other targeted alpha therapy candidates.
