Teledyne wins $15.4 million drone systems contract

Teledyne Technologies Incorporated (NYSE:TDY) announced that its Teledyne Energetics UK business secured a $15.4 million contract to supply specialist energetic products for advanced unmanned systems.
The contract comes as European defence companies increase investment in unmanned systems, with Teledyne’s initial award forming the basis of a potential supply relationship valued at more than $50 million.
“This award reflects the speed at which Europe’s unmanned systems market is evolving and the strategic importance of building trusted industrial capacity close to the programmes it supports,” said John Toner, Senior Vice President at Teledyne Aerospace & Defence Electronics UK.
Under the agreement, Teledyne will provide initiation and energetic solutions for unmanned systems applications, while deliveries begin immediately to support current development programmes and future production requirements.
Teledyne supplies electronic components, imaging systems, aerospace technologies, and industrial products across multiple markets, including defence and commercial applications.
The company said the contract supports its expansion of regional manufacturing capability and strengthens supply-chain capacity for customers developing next-generation unmanned systems.
